  1.   If you are upgrading from a previous version, please read UPGRADE.DOC for
  2. details.  If this is your first time, then follow the steps below.

  4. 1) Create a directory for your FOD game.
  5. 2) Unzip FOD.ZIP into that directory.
  6. 3) Read SYSOP.DOC and follow the instructions for setting up a game.

  8.   IF YOU HAVE VERSION 1.01 RIGHT NOW YOU HAVE A PROBLEM!  Version 1.01 has
  9. a MAJOR bug in it.  It gives players a bunch of credits and experience
  10. as soon as they enter the game.  If you are running 1.01, the best thing to
  11. do is start completely over with 2.50.  Sorry about this, but that really is
  12. the best thing to do.
